SHIPPING
1.SHIPPING OF ACCESSORIES IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, IF THE DESTINATION IS IN THE LOWER 48 STATES OF USA. ANY OTHER AREA REQUIRES A QUOTE FOR SHIPPING AND A DELAY IN SHIPPING WILL OCCUR UNTIL SHIPPING CHARGES ARE DETERMINED AND COLLECTED.
We ship by UPS, FEDX, and USPS on smaller items.Orders are usually processed within 24-48 hours Monday - Thursday. Friday orders are generally processed on Monday. Shipment in the lower 48 generally takes 5-10 days for most fishing kayak accessories. Truck freight is used to ship kayaks to a business location specified by the customer or directly to the customers location, so a physical address is required.
SHIPPING CHARGES (SHIPPING PLUS DROP SHIP FEE OF $35.00 CHARGED BY MALIBU KAYAKS) OF $150.00 ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ANY FISHING KAYAK PURCHASED OFF THE SITE, BUT APPLIES ONLY IF SHIPPED TO A LOCAL BUSINESS ADDRESS. IF SHIPPING CHARGES ARE MORE THAN $150.00, THE DIFFERENCE MUST BE PAID BEFORE SHIPMENT IS PROCESSED. ACTUAK SHIPPING COST TO MOST MAJOR CITIES INCLUDING THE EAST COAST WILL BE $150.00 OR LESS. MORE RURAL AREAS CAN EXPECT HIGHER SHIPPING COSTS. WE WILL CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY TO GET ADDRESS OF SHIPPING DESTINATION FOR KAYAKS WHEN THE ORDER IS PROCESSED. HAVE NAME OF BUSINESS, ADDRESS, AND TELEPHONE NUMBER AVAILABLE. KAYAKS CANNOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL THIS INFORMATION IS OBTAINED. SHIPPING TYPICALLY TAKES ONE WEEK OR LESS FOR THE WESTERN PART OF THE USA, ONE TO TWO WEEKS FOR EAST COAST SHIPMENT FROM THE TIME OF PICK-UP AT MALIBU KAYAKS IN PARAMOUNT CALIFORNIA.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS MUST GENERALLY BE ARRANGED BY PURCHASER AND PAID FOR BEFORE SHIPPING OR PICK-UP IN CALIFORNIA. IF WE ARRANGE QUOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AND YOU DECIDE NOT TO BUY A KAYAK, THERE IS A $10.00 (US CURRENCY) CHARGE TO OFFSET COSTS FOR TIME IN ARRANGING SHIPPING. WE DON'T MIND TRYING TO HELP WITH THE ARRANGEMENTS, BUT IT IS INAPPROPRAITE FOR US TO SPEND TIME DETERMINING COSTS ONLY TO HAVE THE PARTY REFUSE THE SALE.
Customers must be sure to inspect their fishing kayaks upon delivery before signing acceptance on the bill of lading to ensure no damage occurred to the fishing kayak during shipment. If accepted without documenting damage, the customer will not be able to make a claim for damages against the freight company. If damage did occur, document it fully on the bill of lading, take pictures, and contact us. Depending on the situation or degree of damage, we will assist in any way possible to help resolve the situation.
Even when there is signifcant damage, be sure to sign acceptance of the fishing kayak at delivery. Just document, take pictures and call us. If we are not in the office, leave name, telephone number and brief message of the circumstances. We will get back to you at first opportunity.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
1. If orders are cancelled before shipment, there will be no re-stock fee.
2. If payment has been taken and the order has shipped, the Returns Policy Terms will apply.
3. Generally, there will be 12-48 hours before orders are shipped, IF IT IS AN ACCESORY ITEM. This is the cancellation window timeframe.
4. Exchanges (one product exchanged for another) are discouraged, unless all shipping is prepaid and all Returned Policy Terms are followed.
RETURNS
1. ALL RETURNS ARE FOR EXCHANGE OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCT ONLY and all returns require an authorization prior to returning the product.
2. Authorization can be had by calling 785-566-3333 and telling us what is wrong with the product or items and agreeing to the return policy terms given below.
3. Return Policy Terms.
a. All returns must be fully insured for the value of the product.
b. Shipping charges are non-refundable and all return shipping must be paid by the customer.
c. All returns must be unused, in new condition, in the original package, with original paperwork, parts, instrcuctions, etc. so it can be re-sold as a new item with stated defects noted.
d. All returns must have a copy of original proof of purchase with the item.
e. All returns must be within 15 days of purchase.
g. All kayaks carry factory warranties and any defect or warranty action with regard to the kayak must be worked out with the manufacturer of the kayak, though we will assist you in the process.
h. Return with statement why product is being returned.
